We are going to learn how to make a Custom Brush using a image and then use it as a background image for our thunder and rain tutorial.
Sample:
1. Creating a Custom Brush. We start by opening a picture. Any image will do.I have chosen to use an old paper picture that is perfect to our tutorial design.
Select the Brush Tool ,
Go to Edit -> Define Brush, a dialog box will appear then create your own Brush Name.
That’s it your Custom Brush is created, test your brush by opening a new document.
2. Creating background using Custom Brush.
I‘ll be using the size of 400x407 pixels with white background.
Create a new layer and use our Custom Brush that we created on Brush Tool with color of #D6AC8A
Apply the Custom Brush in the center and stretch the figure using Free Transform.
In our tutorial I created again a new Custom Brush using this image. I will use this custom brush to create a new background that I will use at the bottom of my image.
in order to create a new bottom design with a color settings of #B6A6B8 It should be like this:
3. Creating Custom Shapes. Draw a round rectangle using Rounded Rectangular Tool [/align]Rotate and skew our rounded rectangle.
Draw a thunder shape using Pen Tool
Apply the Layer Blending Option (Layer -> Layer Style -> Blending Option) on all the Custom Shapes that we make with these settings.
And it should be like this:
4. Add more design shapes Now we add some droplets under our black object. Click the Custom Shape Tool , then select the Droplet Shape . Draw droplets under the thunder shape and scatter around just like rain.
Create also a different color of droplets.
For the red Droplets I use this Layer Blending Option.
For the Gold Droplets use the color #F5B780 and draw droplets using the Custom Shape Tool. Select the Droplet Shape that you make and click Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise and make these settings:
5. Adding text Now we add some text in our design.
